If you’re about to buy that Fancy Katana from Raze’s shop in Slayers 2, you’re wasting your Wen. This Katana guide for Slayers 2 game on Roblox covers every katana in the game, so you know exactly what to chase when you get started.

Slayers 2: Complete Katana Guide

Part 1: Starter Weapons

Regular Katana

  • Source: Raze’s shop (500 Wen) or free through Quests

  • Stats: No stat bonuses

  • Assessment: Better than fighting demons with your bare hands. Builds Sword Mastery, which is the only real reason to grab one.

  • Tier: B

Fancy Katana

  • Source: Raze’s shop (1,500 Wen)

  • Stats: +1 Additional Damage

  • Assessment: SKIP IT. You’re paying triple the price for minimal gain. This is a scam. If you bought it, you fell for the trap. It’s a waste of inventory space.

  • Tier: C

Cutlass

  • Source: Zuko mini-boss (outside Windy Peak), 20% drop rate

  • Stats: +1 Damage, 1.01x Damage Factor, Block Points

  • Assessment: Your first real upgrade. Easy to farm and makes you superior to anyone still using the Fancy Katana.

  • Tier: A

Ocean Wave Katana

  • Source: Unknown (TBA)

  • Stats: +1 Additional Damage

  • Assessment: Until someone figures out how to obtain it, don’t chase it. Not worth the mystery.

  • Tier: C

Part 2: Early Crafted Katanas (Hidden Mist Village)

These are your stepping stones if you don’t want to rely on RNG.

Enryu Katana

  • Stats: +1.25 Additional Damage, 1.02x Damage Factor, +0.9 Block Points

  • Assessment: Better than shop trash, but don’t max it out.

  • Tier: B

Shinkage Katana

  • Stats: +1.25 Additional Damage, 1.02x Damage Factor, +0.9 Block Points

  • Assessment: Identical stats to Enryu. Copy-paste. Nothing special.

  • Tier: B

Tengoku Katana

  • Stats: +1.25 Additional Damage, 1.02x Damage Factor, +0.9 Block Points

  • Assessment: Same stats again. If you have it, fine. Don’t brag about it.

  • Tier: B

Part 3: Elemental Katanas (Mid-Game Boss Drops)

These are your mid-game workhorses once you reach level 20.

Flame Katana

  • Source: Rengu (desert south of Mistfall Harbor), ~5% drop rate

  • Stats: +2 Damage, 1.04x Damage Factor, ~+2 Block Points

Insect Katana

  • Source: Shinora (Mistfall Harbor), ~5% drop rate

  • Stats: 1.08x Movement Speed Factor, Stamina Regen

  • Assessment: Perfect for running away from fights or chasing people down in PvP. Great mobility option.

  • Stats: 1.05x Damage Factor

  • Assessment: Very consistent. No fancy movement speed, just raw power and good block.

  • Tier: S

Sound Katana

  • Source: Tengai (Iceveil Settlement)

  • Stats: +2 Damage, good block regen

  • Assessment: Direct upgrade to Flame Katana in raw numbers.

  • Tier: A

Thunder Katana

  • Source: Zentaro (east of Obari)

  • Stats: Good speed and stamina

  • Assessment: Twin of the Insect Katana. Good for button mashers who run out of stamina.

  • Tier: B

Water Katana

  • Source: Giyen (southwest corner of Bamboo Grove Sanctuary)

  • Stats: +3.5 Block Points, 1.15x Block Regen

  • Assessment: You become a walking fortress. You can’t kill them fast, but they can’t kill you either.

  • Tier: S

Wind Katana

  • Source: Saneri (north of Windy Peak, in the maze structure)

  • Stats: +2 Damage, 1.04x Multiplier, great block

  • Assessment: The best of the basic boss drops. Master the maze, get the best katana currently available.

  • Tier: S+

The Firstlight series and Nightfall series are the only V2s that truly matter. The rest are stepping stones.

Don’t waste resources maxing out a Tidal Katana unless you absolutely have to. Save your Mythic Refinement Ores for the weapons that will carry you through endgame.

Priority crafts:

  1. Nightfall Katana (best raw damage)

  2. Firstlight Sound Cleavers (best survivability)

  3. Nightfall Serpent Katana (best damage multiplier)
