RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike Guide — How I Got My First Win

Updated: April 5, 2026  ·  Reading time: ~4 min

When I first started playing RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike, I made the exact same mistake everyone makes, I thought I could just play normally, collect coins, and somehow snowball into a win.

But, that does not work.

I kept getting stuck around rounds 8–10, wondering why my runs were dying even when I felt like I was doing well. The game feels simple early on, but there’s actually a hidden strategy layer that completely changes how you should play.

Once I figured this out and switched my approach, I got my first win without grinding, without insane luck, and using just the default MANAGER character.

This guide is exactly how I did it.

The Core Mechanics You NEED to Understand

Before anything else, I had to stop playing randomly and actually understand what matters.

1. The Entire Game Revolves Around Score Rate

This is where everything clicked for me.

Score Rate is not just important, it’s EVERYTHING.

At first, I was trying to increase my multiplier by just collecting coins. Sounds logical, right?

Wrong.

  • Every +1.0 Score Rate = 20 coins
  • So getting something like 65.0 Score Rate through coins alone?
  • That would take a 1300x streak

That’s just not happening in a normal run.

What I changed:

  • I completely stopped relying on coin collection for scaling
  • I started focusing on passive Score Rate from Chips

From round 7 onwards, I made Score Rate my only priority, and that’s when my runs started going way deeper.

2. Spin Wheel is The Hidden Carry Mechanic

I ignored this at first and it was a big mistake.

The Spin Wheel builds power based on how many coins you drop before ending a streak.

Here’s the key thing most people don’t realize:

The Spin Wheel does NOT activate after you reach the goal score.

That means if you don’t prepare it before finishing the round, you’re wasting free value.

What I started doing:

  • I maxed out the Spin Wheel BEFORE entering the shop
  • Then I carried that into the next round

This alone let me skip progression like crazy, I literally pushed past multiple rounds without even needing exchanges.

Super Important Trick:

If I didn’t get the Spinner Saver, I still saved it manually by:

  • Entering the shop before the multiplier ends
  • OR toggling “Save Reward for Next Round”

This one mechanic alone massively boosted consistency.

3. Chips are My Main Source of Power

Once I understood Chips, the game became way easier.

Think of Chips like Jokers from Balatro because they give passive effects that scale your run.

And more importantly:

Chips are the REAL way to build Score Rate.

My mindset:

  • Every shop = “How do I increase Score Rate?”
  • Not “what looks good”
  • Not “what helps short-term”

4. Don’t Mismanage Prizes

This is a small thing, but it actually ruined a few of my early runs.

  • If your prize slots are full → extra prizes are wasted
  • So you need to already know what you’re going to drop

What I started doing:

  • I always kept a “trash” prize in mind
  • I reacted instantly when prize balls dropped

The Exact Strategy I Followed (That Finally Worked)

Once I stopped overthinking and followed this simple structure, I got my first win:

My Game Plan:

  1. Stack Score Rate aggressively
  2. Always max Spin Wheel before shop
  3. Spam coins and prizes and don’t hesitate
  4. Farm tickets early (Rounds 1–6)

How I played it:

  • Early game = ticket farming + setup
  • Mid game = scaling Score Rate hard
  • Late game = let multiplier carry

I stopped trying to play clean and just started playing efficient.

Best Items That Carried My Run

These were the items that consistently made my runs easier:

Early Game Must-Haves

  • Raccoon Paw
→ 25% chance for double exchange (insane early boost)
  • Ticket Whip
→ More tickets = more shop value

Mid-Game Scaling Items

  • Hamster
→ +5 Score Rate per different prize
    → Easy +10 to +15 Score Rate
  • Desktop Vacuum
→ +1 deployable coin per 10 coins collected
→ Way stronger than it sounds

Advanced / Scaling Picks

  • Raccoon Economics
→ +1.5 Score Rate per unused exchange
→ Great until ~Round 10, then falls off
  • Folding Screen (Underrated MVP)
→ +0.1 Score Rate per correctly directed coin
    → Infinite scaling potential
→ This item alone can carry late game

Small Tips That Saved My Runs

These little things made a bigger difference than I expected:

  • The MVP coin indicator (top left) shows your best coin
→ I started popping it instantly with prizes when needed
  • If I got stuck → I just spammed special coins
→ Holding them usually made things worse
  • I split my focus like this:
    • Rounds 1–7 → Tickets
    • Rounds 8+ → Score Rate stacking

What Actually Changed Everything for Me

The moment I stopped:

  • Playing slow
  • Saving everything
  • Relying on coin collection

and started:

  • Prioritizing Score Rate
  • Abusing Spin Wheel
  • Scaling through Chips

That’s when I finally got consistent runs.

If you’re stuck right now, it’s probably not bad luck but it’s just that you’re playing it the normal way.

Switch to this strategy, and you’ll feel the difference almost immediately.
